Story behind the song
The understanding of God's grace and sacrifice compelled me to say; "My desire is to serve you Lord". When I think about King Solomon and all of his accomplishments given for wanting to lead Gods people; then at the end of his life letting it go and neglecting the warning from his father to stay commited to God, I say whoa. I know it's possible to fall. Therefore, learning from his example; if I were in the place where Solomon was when God asked him what he wanted, I would have to say "My Desire is to serve you Lord".
