Ben is telling me why he’s been away so long

Now I see the rocks and trees and the fields racing by
Snow white geese and jet black crows chasing me from the sky
She changed her story and then she changed her mind
Another fleeting thought of one I left behind
Now I’m thinking about all the things that she said
Then I hear Ben and Jack and start to smile instead
I wonder if she knows or cares about the feelings that she stole
Please ignore the tear in my eye – and see the laughter in my soul
