Story behind the song
This came about when I bought a beautiful, new, Japanese, Lake Placid Blue Stratocaster (shown in the photo) and played it for hours on end. Musical ideas came and went, but this one stood out and is still one of my favourites. After working out the main structure as a rhythm part over the drums, I built it up with bass and topline overdubs being careful to play to complement the tempo changes. There are two recorded versions using electric instruments and one with an acoustic arrangement. This is the original completely solo recording and I had to work hard when remastering the original analogue tape to reduce the overdub noise and other recording artefacts. You decide if it was worth the effort.
