Lyrics
The Last To Know There’s a baby’s voice a crying, Cause her momma’s gone today Early age of twenty, Her momma passed away Little Ashley she won’t understand, Why her momma, she can’t be here to play Try to, tell her when she’s older, She’ll be the last to know Danny’s softly crying, Cause the Doctors said today I’m afraid it’s cancer, As he dropped to his knees to pray He shaved his head so mockingly for the medicine would take it away If he could know a reason, He’ll be the last to know The Last to Know, Why must we always be We live our lives the best we can, Trying to succeed No matter where life take us, Why do we seem to be Always the last to know A single shot was fired, It was supposed to be a Holiday Noone could believe it, That he ended his life that way Left two children thinking they’re to blame Lord they’re too innocent, don’t take that away If they could know a reason, He was the last to know The Last to Know, Why must we always be We live our lives the best we can, Trying to succeed No matter where life take us, Why do we seem to be Always the last to know Always the last to know
