An amateur Songwriter/Musician a work in progress
I've played in a few cover bands, started off playing lead guitar ended up playing bass, drums and even keyboards a few times and although it was fun never had any great success. I'm now more of an amateur song writer and trying very hard to come up with some songs that might impress someone enough to want to record them.

Story behind the song
I was thinking about a relationship breaking down but using the visual picture of a band playing their last encore, there last final attempt and swansong before deciding it was all over.
Lyrics
The Last Encore - by Steve Salterszo© 2012 1. You bought a ticket to the show You stood in line through the night You gave a round of applause Said the show was outta sight But you left early, needed to see no more You never stuck around for the last encore c. Don't break my heart Don't you do it We'll work it out Keep pushing through it Think twice before you walk out the door I'm coming back on stage For the last encore 2. You were dazzled by the lights The music touched your very soul You danced and swayed to the beat Entertained by rock n roll But with the highs, come the lows Where it all ends, no-one knows But you left early, needed to see no more You never stuck around for the last encore
