piano/guitar rock/harmony recorded in a big cavernous natural reverb room with stone walls 50ft high and wide, Butch Trucks behind the desk, FL circa 1988...I actually wrote this song on my wife's (then girlfriend) years before at her moms house in 1983, one day there alone for some reason... remember it well.. It's about .. well, supernatural fire and broken dreams, yet rising, recovering again towards the eternal fire which transcends all . . . . i wrote it at one sitting, afternoon sun shining through the windows... grand piano.. me plunking and wailing away... It was several years later to finally record it .. with the Tallahassee band "911" . . . good ol' Steve Taff on guitar, Perry on drums.. and the Paul McCartney look alike on bass... just the four of us basically playing this live and then overdubbing the vocals.. I remember Butch skeptical that I could double the lead vox in one pass... but I did.. the song having long been in my head, rehearsed ... .. . I played original piano on it plus strings (synth) .. and .. some guy I hired from ... I think FL St. Univ... some professor.. an African American fellow who filled out the piano parts.. can't remember his name... so long ago ....
