Story behind the song
This is my reworking of this song with new recordings over a copy of the original 4-track master (Mark still has the original). When the new drum part was laid down I had to record over some of the original instruments due to the limited tracks available so I decided to redo all the other instruments as well. I rewrote some of our original lyrics that I wasn't entirely happy with (losing Mark's "send for a referee" line in the process) and cranked the guitars up through various effects to make them really 'cook'. My bass part is noticeably different to Sachy's original because of our differing styles, but the bass part in the guitar solo section is completely rewritten in this later version. Michael Glover played the drums using 'hot-rods' (he laid down the drum parts for this song and "Dreaming Of Vicky" at the same session).
