This is actually an extension of my music career - a secondary career as a music teacher and performer for family audiences, which I began in 1991 in Los Angeles.
So, once again, my band is mainly me - although I've performed with many of my music students and have even created a number of bands with those students over the years.
I would assemble a student band - a rock band, by the way - and under my guidence they would perform at their graduations or December holiday events.

Lyrics
AT THE LIBRARY
words & music by Tom Fair (C) 1990, 2009
At the library, at the library I can learn to write a symphony;
I can fly to Mars or Mercury, and it all begins at the library!
There's books on butterflies, books on bees,
And books on travelling the seven seas.
There's books on rockets, books on cars,
Books on rivers and trees and stars!
At the library, at the library I can learn to write a symphony;
I can fly to Mars or Mercury, and it all begins at the library!
There's books on baking breads and cakes;
Books on lizards and frogs and snakes.
There's books on science, books on math,
The steamboat and the telegraph.
At the library, at the library I can learn to write a symphony;
I can fly to Mars or Mercury, and it all begins at the library!
I can learn the songs of long ago,
Or the songs I hear on the radio.
I can read about molecules, atoms and germs,
Visit with beetles and snails and worms!
At the library, at the library I can learn to write a symphony;
I can fly to Mars or Mercury, and it all begins at the library!
When I don't know where to find a book,
The librarian will help me look.
There's story telling, and funny plays,
And family films on Saturdays.
At the library, at the library I can learn to write a symphony;
I can fly to Mars or Mercury, and it all begins at the library!
