This is actually an extension of my music career - a secondary career as a music teacher and performer for family audiences, which I began in 1991 in Los Angeles.
So, once again, my band is mainly me - although I've performed with many of my music students and have even created a number of bands with those students over the years.
I would assemble a student band - a rock band, by the way - and under my guidence they would perform at their graduations or December holiday events.

LOOK, LEARN AND PRACTICE
words & Music by Tom Fair (C) 2001
Look, learn and practice with your mind and hands;
Look, learn and practice: don't leave it up to chance.
Look, learn and practice in everything you do;
Look, learn and practice, so we can count on you
It takes a steady hand and mind
To solve the problems of mankind.
To pass the test, you've got to do your best,
So spend your time at school using this simple rule:
Look, learn and practice with your mind and hands;
Look, learn and practice: don't leave it up to chance.
Look, learn and practice in everything you do;
Look, learn and practice, so we can count on you
It takes a sure and steady eye
To sort the truth out from the lie,
And up from down, and straight ahead from 'round:
It takes a wizard true - that wizard can be you!
(when you)
Look, learn and practice with your mind and hands;
Look, learn and practice: don't leave it up to chance.
Look, learn and practice in everything you do;
Look, learn and practice, so we can count on you!
