My grandmother Ambjørg had a long and rich life surrounded by friends and family. Her biggest passions in life were Jesus, family and music. She and her husband Wolfe contributed with music on a wide variety of scenes, but playing at church was what they both lived for. After my grandfather passed, granny continued to play for the Lord with choirs, at services, at the senior citizen center and of course at home. She had a unique style, full of life and energy. She was no ordinary granny, that’s for sure. She would show up to listen to me play, even if it meant sticking cotton in her ears at loud concerts. More than one time she came to see us in the studio, or practicing, bringing home made waffles and a big smile. There were always enough hugs to go around too. Of course she would get on my nerves like every granny will, but I miss that ole goofball every day. About a week before she got promoted to Gloryland, she made me promise to record this album. She said “take some of the old hymns and songs and play them your way”. That is exactly what I did, and I dedicate this entire album to Ambjørg and her memory. Sinccerly Lars Ludwig Sandell
