Story behind the song
Academy Flight Song is all about breaking away, trusting your instincts, getting lost on purpose in order to find something that you dont know you're looking for. Its about the journey being far more important than the destination, indeed that a good journey is the proper destination.
Lyrics
are the targets aligned? will we get there on time? relax, it's just an eternity away a journey from the center and somewhere in swirling gasses we will find out what we have to find out that we're looking for did you miss the road sign? can you see with that maplight on? the glow of what we see as we miss where we're supposed to be and float free losing control is the greatest of heights guided by the stellar light of a billion or so miles into the darkening void which always has enough to show us what we missed and why it doesn't matter
