Story behind the song
Sitting at a lonely red light in a tired GA town in the dead of February, 2008. Men had died here in agony and with pride, their suffering cries muted by the raging winter wind and loved ones' unyielding pride. Laid to rest face up, boots laced and tunacs pressed; eternal vision basking in battlefield glory, death's cold hand warmed by dreams of unborn family beloved by God's desire for humility. This is no place for a road; a street for transport of a people unencumbered by long lost suffering and pain. Crossroads built upon labor of love forgotten, families buried in haste and progress' ceaseless wave to the future. Hail the future so the future may prosper... Go ye in haste but neglect not the children who follow in our footsteps...
