Dr. Deal released his first CD, "Harmonic Space", in 2005. This CD includes original music and a 25 minute meditation procedure designed to induce sleep and to counteract anxiety.
In 2008 he released the "concept CD", "Transformations". This work uses jazz, rock, Broadway and progressive rock music to convey, as honestly as possible, various spiritual struggles and experiences. As a "concept CD", many experience "Transformations" as a "spiritual vessel" which helps carry them into a deep, personal journey. Others simply enjoy the intense emotional honesty expressed through individual songs.
Dr Deal resides in Ohio where he is a practicing Psychologist. He currently plays in several bands including a Trans-Siberian Orchestra tribute band named Siberian Solstice, (www.siberiansolstice.com), and a contemporary church band. He recently finished a four year stint in a Pink Floyd Tribute Band named One of These Daze.
He has been blessed with the friendship of many excellent musicians who offered their talents on these recordings Some of the gifted musicians include Les Brooke, Tom Hanna, Tim Vargo, Andrew Vargo, William O'Connell, Cynthia Lugo, Russ Notestine, Andrea Bok, Arthur Kills Straight Putnam, David Coonrod, Ned Clark and Kevin Peters.
"Transformations"-CD Statement: "Sometimes, in the midst of a perfectly ordinary day, one is unexpectedly flooded by the magnificence of “what is.” Perhaps that moment of awareness and clarity arrives while watching a storm or absorbing a piece of art or kneeling with intention in a church. If blessed, echoes of the past and visions of the future fade from existence as the unknowing silence of the infinite present emerges. With patience and grace, one comes to know the incredible richness of “what is” as a revelation of God’s face and the mind is forever transformed into a mirror of creation."

David, This definitely has a First Contact feeling to it. Great instrumentation, vocals, arrangement and mix. Epic in proportion and very intriguing sound. Very nicely done. Peace and Blessings, John
