IF YOU LIKE DISTURBED, FEAR FACTORY, MARILYN MANSON, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, LAMB OF GOD, INDORPHINE, 5 BILLION DEAD, NINE INCH NAILS, STATIC X PRETTY MUCH ALMOST
Ring of Scars strays from most current trends, while crossbreeding strains of hardcore, dark melodic, industrial, and metal genres. The band has an amalgam of sounds that defy originality in heavy music. The music will captivate any audience with an open mind that has been waiting for the unexpected and new. Fans compare sounds ranging from: Pantera, Fear Factory, Lamb of God, Type O Negative, Meshuggah, Disturbed, Sevendust, and Static X. ROS makes leaps and bounds between each of these sounds capes, thus creating a new genre in dark music. Thick, abrasive, crunchy guitars are a battering ram of heavy mechanical rhythms with melodies of disgust, along with cleaner orchestrated arrangements of sorrow and grief. Vocals, from clean harmonies to aggressive hardcore screams, and everything in between. Droning, pulsating industrial rhythms and warm orchestral strings weave in and out the vast array of the bands audio spectrum. Their riffs are associated with newer hardcore styles, while others pay homage to the old school days of metal. Fans enjoy participating with the bands aggressive and singable vocal styles. ROS carries the torch of evolution in metal, and with it a power and an attitude to match. It is rare to see an indie band putting as much focus in their stage performance, as in the music. Ring of Scars has an explosive live performance that has been called a "CATHARTIC VISUAL AND AUDIO ASSAULT". Ring Of Scars describes their sound with this fitting statement: "Acts of aggression smashing through emotional restraints, conveyed in digital format". "More powerful than before. Deeper than you will ever know."
