Story behind the song
Michael Glover (mixed electric and acoustic drums) and me (electric bass) jamming freely after an afternoon spent experimenting with various production effects in a vain attempt to achieve tricky time signatures and/or monster grooves. Mike suggested doing something different and I agreed “with no echo” so he started, I followed on and as soon as we hit this groove we just took off. This is the fourth take after three short, rough takes that were used to check the recording levels. Right at the end of this same session we improvised another piece that became the backing track for "A Message From Donna" (only 45 seconds of that were recorded because I didn't notice that the tape had finished – oops!).
