SOUTHERN SPUR - A rip roarin', honky tonkin', emotional train ride that starts when the track veers south. Comfortable as a well worn pair of cowboy boots that can kick it up when the party starts or waltz along when the mood gets right. This band has been playing honky tonks, festivals, and concerts since 1998 with their own unique style of country music. In 2002 they released their debut CD "No Apologies, No Excuses" and scored a #1 hit on MP3.com

Story behind the song
To my Mom. She has been my greatest musical influence.
Lyrics
Mama raised three kids while Daddy lived to work She never got attention that I know she deserved. But now that I am grown out and on my own I feel guilty and lord it makes me hurt. Cause I never tell mama that I love her enough because I'm working and raising kids and all that stuff. She knows I still love her but my life's in a rush and I Never tell mama that I love her enough. Mama's done her job and raised her family everyone she loves is gone. Everyday is just like the last one and lord you know she wishes I was home Daddy's dead and gone mama's all alone She still never gets the attention that I know she deserves. I call her on the phone, but that's not being home, and I tell her she's in my heart everyday. Cause I never tell mama that I love her enough because I'm working and raising kids and all that stuff. She knows I still love her but my life's in a rush and I Never tell mama that I love her enough.
