This song is really in Ragged Time, or Ragtime as it is more popularly known these days, but there doesn't seem to be a category for that yet. I guess we need to upload a bunch of this so they'll make one!

In the words of James Taylor, It's me and my guitar. Always in the same mood! Then again, maybe my guitar is just humoring me - sigh -
Just me, I'm an old Folksinger that still plays out once in a blue moon. Thank you for listening to my primitive acoustic songs. I am a retired Army Bandsman, a certified Wall Wacker, and am currently a teacher. Next time I retire I am going back into Folksinging. It's the perfect occupation really, no hope of fame and fortune and definately keeps me humble. Folksinging just naturally makes me a better person I s'pose.

Story behind the song
When I was a kid, I never understood why anyone would be afraid of the Boogie Man. I mean, he was just the piano player right?
Lyrics
Boogie Man Charles W - T Consaul 1. Strange old man at the Piano stool Every now and then he plucks a jewel From the ring of them Piano strings Makes that harp sit back and sing C: You better watch out for the Boogie Man If he can't get you no one can Traveling up and down the land In a ten dollar suit with a million dollar hand (Throw in a little scat here if you feel so inclined) 2. He don't ever let 'sm stop Keeps 'em dancing till they drop All night long it's hop hop hop To the Boogie Woogie Beat In the Boogie Woogie Shop Chorus C2: Met the Devil it is said Played against him till his fingers bled When his horns fell off he roared But every Friday night he comes back for more 3. Bends half over at the waist Hitches up his pants for a little more space When his fingers hit them keys Makes you ears say Thank you and your feet say Please, Please, Please Chorus C2: Got his songs stuck in my head In my feet and in my bed Tap on the headboard all night long The neighbors all think That there's something Wrong! 4. Took my lover cross the street Just to hear that Boogie beat By the time that we were done We were dog bone tired, But we had a Lot of Fun Chorus Cook down to a good pot Likker Serve with rice and beans Don't skimp on the red sauce
