Songwriter of pop songs and ballads. No bull shit!
My name is Gart, I am a songwriter. I write pop songs and ballads. Not much of a singer myself, but hopefully someone with a good ear for potential, who happens to be looking for new songs to sing or to promote, will find my work interesting. Feel free to contact me!

Story behind the song
Thousands of spectacularly gorgeous men on the beach of Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, inspired me to write this song. The old and tired "Girl from Ipanema" was the inspiration for the titel and the intro. There also is a reference in the song; "About that girl from down the street, you might as well forget her".
Lyrics
Good boys go to heaven The preacher told me so But I can’t help but wonder Where do bad boys go? Don’t want to go to heaven There’s no one there I know But finally I figured out Where I want to go Where Winter feels like Summer And Summer feels like hell The kind of hell where I belong Where every night is Christmas Eve And every day’s a gay parade Where ocean turns to mountain With silky satin sands to play About that girl from the street You might as well forget her Let’s just go down to the beach Where life is so much better CHORUS: Where the boys, the boys from Ipanema Surf the surf and sail the sky The boys, the boys from Ipanema Tell me God is still alive The boys, the boys from Ipanema Love and lust and drink and drive The boys, the boys from Ipanema Haunt me, taunt me, till I die Where Winter feels like Summer And Summer smells like hell I never want to leave them Don’t ever want to say goodbye CHORUS: Where the boys, the boys from Ipanema Surf the surf and sail the sky The boys, the boys from Ipanema Tell me God is still alive The boys, the boys from Ipanema Love and lust and drink and drive The boys, the boys from Ipanema Haunt me, taunt me, till I die
