An Auckland, New Zealand based Retro'esk Rock Band that get you feet tapping and your body moving.
The Gods of Nothing have very much been influenced by a lifetime of music appreciation on the part of the band members. Mark Rawstron formerly resided in Palmerston North where he was in a band called “Mailbox Skipole” as the lead singer and bass player. Mark is influenced by a multitude of artists usually those he is listening to at the time which at the moment includes The Datsuns, The Darkness, Greenday, Good Charlotte, Hoobastank, Jet and Incubus (just to mention a few).
Mark loves retro Rock and really “struts” his stuff on stage.Mark writes songs about life experiences which makes them more powerful to listen to because they are “real” to him and he really knows how to captivate an audience with crazy stage “Rock” antics. “A good amount of insanity there” was once said by the ‘Greenman’ from the rock, describing the G.O.N at a Battle of The Bands contest, where they reached the regional finals in Auckland 2004.
