My name is Ward and I am the sole musician in "The Speak Easy House Band". These songs are a mix of whatever mood I am in when feeling creative. There is everything from distorted heavy rock, to electric blues, to acoustic folk type melodies. Some of it is instrumental, and some has lyrics. I have attempted to arrange the song list in an order from top to bottom as follows: heavy rock, to acoustic and blues.

Story behind the song
I had composed a song called death of a flower years ago, and recorded it with electric guitar and a drum machine. The song was really meant to be an acoustic number, I know that now, but when I was a younger man, I had no interest at all in acoustic guitar. Having originally recorded it on a strat, the original version was pretty good but this version is much claeaner sounding with all tracks miced including the percussion track.
