The band started off as three piece - guitar, banjo, vocals, but another friend of ours played guitar and sang so we persuaded him to play washtub bass then he bought himself a double bass last year - still occasionally longs for the simplicity of the 'tub. Lyrics
Diamonds Mama if you see me I’m runnin’ blind Lookin’ for the railroad The roadrunnin’ kind The roadrunnin’ kind Mama if you hear me Not, makin’ a sound Listen to me carefully Talkin’ you down Talkin’ you down Talkin’ you down Mandolin…… Darlin’ if you’re worryin’ That I’m lonely for you let me tell you baby I’m already blue I’m already blue I’m already blue Fiddle…… Tears on your pillow Yearnin’ in your heart Comin’ back to give you Diamonds in your hand Diamonds in your hand Diamonds in your hand Tears on your pillow Yearnin’ in your heart Comin’ back to give you Diamonds in your hand Diamonds in your hand Diamonds in your hand
