I started writing music at around 14 years of age. I was really into a lot of hard rock female influences (L7, Seven Year Bitch, Babes In Toyland) and my early music was really influenced by a crunch sound. Unfortunately though my mother could only handle me so much on the electric guitar. She would bang on the wall downstairs and tell me to shut up, as it was always late and my family were trying to sleep. So, I converted to the acoustic guitar. The acoustic sound grew on me, and now I can't get enough of it. Now I focus on blues, jazz and folk vibes.

Story behind the song
Sean and i wrote that together one afternoon; its' a comical, fictional story about a young girl who has a fetish with vampires, and she meets this boy who she thinks is a vampire, and thus falls in love. When he finds out that she's with him because she thinks he's a vampire, he just goes along with it.
Lyrics
always been a sucker for strange beings, well... man in black is seeing white and my daddy's warned me about the shadows that could harm me but I'm addicted to the night, well... well, when Bobby Brown came back into town, he said he was thirsty for a girl like me he said he don't eat garlic, and he sleeps in the closet, and I said that's just fine by me! before the bite he asked me what's my type and I said, be positive, well... don't hurry, oh please oh oh yeah ah hah sharp teeth make me weak in the knees bite me! Bobby swears that he has never seen his reflection, ah no ah no, no, no and yeah he's mastered nocturnal seduction to bloody perfection together with natural selection before the bite he asked me what's my type and I said, be positive, well... don't hurry, oh please oh oh yeah ah hah sharp teeth make me weak in the knees music & lyrics - Karmin Poirier, Sean Luciw
