Have just played my old guitar
clubsvilleproductions
Sometimes it's good to just Rock on! Got my first noname guitar long ago and still sometimes do some Rock n Roll tracks with it. It is almost something magic to just feel the inspiration come alive in the moment in a down to earth kind of stuff. I often produce a lot of electronic based music. Stuff based more or less only with synthezisers. But I do not think in terms of this, and that then it comes to music I do not follow any rules. If it feels good it's allright. Should probably play my old guitars some more... Greetings from Sweden, Svante / Clubsville

This was cool to read. A lot of times it isn't the brand so much but what you can do with it. I've played no name guitars that sound better than Gibsons (and that's the God honest truth)

I also do more synth stuff and drum / beats but do bust out my guitar every now and then. I play it more on my own than I do record anything. Maybe I will start recording more! :)

Take care from Florida, US :)

There is a possibility that a guitar gets harder to play over time but this is usually caused by a lack of maintenance, old strings of things happening to the guitar (like changes to the top of an acoustic guitar).
